About the program


Colosseum Sports Tech Serbia is a unique five-month program aimed to boost innovation in sport by connecting all the relevant players in the sports tech industry and providing support to early-stage start-ups. This program is a result of the cooperation between Science Technology Park Belgrade (STP Belgrade) and Colosseum Sport – leading sports tech organization in Israel. The program will encourage passionate entrepreneurs to unleash the innovation potential of sport and to build Serbian sports tech community.

COLOSSEUM SPORTS TECH SUMMIT


Colosseum Sports Tech Summit took place on May 15th at Science Technology Park Belgrade. The main event of the program used to drive discussion about the disruption of the traditional sports landscape through technology, cover the hot topics in sports tech, and gather athletes, sports associations, experts, entrepreneurs and international speakers. Some of the topics that were discussed are sports media & broadcasting, esports and gaming industry, athlete development, sports psychology, nutrition, as well as the Serbian sports magic.

  • Vladimir Grbić

    Former Volleyball player, gold medal winner at the Olympic Games

    Vladimir Vanja Grbić is one of the best Serbian Volleball players of all time. He is a member of the Volleyball Hall of Fame. He won 14 medals in the national team jersey and was named a Europe's best player in 2000. The greatest success he achieved at the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000, when he won the gold medal. He was a member of the team that won the championship of Europe in 2001. He also worked as a professor at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Belgrade and he has always been a true motivation for youth.

    CEO Fortuna Esports

    Mihajlo Džaril is the founding CEO of Fortuna Esports, leading regional organizer and producer of gaming content. Graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade, he began his career as a lawyer, and then moved on to become a consultant in Advisory department at EY with a focus on EU funded projects in Government and Public Sector. Mihajlo founded Fortuna in 2016 and quickly developed it from a small start-up to a trusted partner in esports industry dedicated to creating world-class gaming content in our region. Through partnership with United Media it was the first to bring local esports tournaments to traditional TV and is currently producing Esports Balkan League (EBL) - the largest prize pool tournament in the region to date.

    Oren Simanian is named one of the top 6 figures of the Tel Aviv Startup Ecosystem of 2017. 10+ years active in the Israeli and international entrepreneurship & innovation scene. Founder of the internationally renowned Entrepreneurship Center at Tel-Aviv University and TAU Venture Capital. Crowd funding expert ($20M + raised). 20+ years professional football referee in national & international competitions.

  • Veroljub Zmijanac

    Sports Marketing Specialist

    Veroljub Zmijanac is a sports entrepreneur and he is graduated engineer of Information Systems, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, specializing in marketing. The main scientific methods that he used in order to improve people’s attitude towards sports are theory of systems and social marketing. His work in this area resulted in valuable numbers. In 2008 less than 1000 runners were recorded in Serbia. Today, the number of runners is going up to 100,000. Running is new trend and new healthy habit in Serbia nowadays. He initiated a series of successful sports projects such as Trčanje.rs, Belgrade running club, Serbia Business Run and others. He is currently working as a manager for funning in Athletic Association of Serbia.

    Managing Director, Colosseum

    Timothée Deschamps
    Sports connaisseur with experience in the French soccer and tennis industries, digital consultant, and expert in entrepreneurship, Timothee is the current Managing Director at Colosseum. He merges his knowledge of the international sports market with his passion for tech innovation in order to scale Colosseum activities. Timothee is a graduate from France's top university (SciencesPo Paris) and holds a Masters in Economics after completing a year-long business management program from the University of Florida.

  • Velibor Bošković

    Acting director, Science and Technology park in Montenegro & Former Manager of Football club Budućnost

    Velibor Bošković post graduated on Faculty of Economics, University of Montenegro. In his career he has worked from NGO sector to Government and private sector as well as on University. He was a director of first business incubator in Podgorica, director of Entrepreneurship and innovation center „Tehnopolis“ in Nikšić, and was working as a General director of the biggest football club in Montenegro „Buducnost“. In January 2019 he was appointed by the Government of Montenegro as acting director of Science and technology park Podgorica. He is also a cofounder of two private companies, and President of an NGO „Center for development of entrepreneurial society“.

  • Mladen Jovanović

    S&C Coach, Sport Scientist

    Mladen Jovanovićis a fitness trainer and sports scientist who is currently completing PhD studies at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Belgrade. Mladen worked as a fitness trainer at Hammarby IF in Sweden, as a physiologist at Aspire Academy in Qatar and as a fitness trainer and "data analyst" at the Port Adelaide Football Club in Australia. He is a licensed fitness trainer by the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association, but also a programmer and a co-creator of the AthleteSR application. He is the author of the book "HIIT Manual".

  • Prof. Duško Ilić

    Professor, Faculty of Sport and Physical Education

    Dusko Ilić , PhD, full professor. He has been teaching Biomechanics of Human Locomotion and Motor Control at different levels of studies (undergraduate, master and doctoral academic studies and vocational studies) at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education since 1993. He published six science books, and a number of academic and scientific papers in national and international journals. Also, he took part in state projects, and was the Vice Dean from 2011 to 2013. Last 20 years he spent working intensively in sport practice and has won several medals in individual sports in World and European competitions and 3 medals at the Olympics as a conditioning coach. He is the founder of PROFEX – Academy of healthy living, a highly professional institution, as well as a leader in the field of training and diagnostics processes in this region.

  • Ivana Djerisilo

    Former volleyball player & Co-founder od KidCard

    Ivana Djerisilo is a Serbian volleyball player, playing as an outside hitter. She was a member of the Women's National Team that won the bronze medal at the 2006 FIVB World Championship in Japan. She is a co-founder of KidCard start-up - a platform that provides various ticket packages to different places for children in Belgrade sush as playgrounds, theaters, sport activities, birthday celebrations and so on.

  • Dror Briger

    Director of sales and business development, Playsight interactive

    Dror Brigeris a Director of sales and business development at Playsight interactive - a sport tech AI company which brings automatic production, analytics, fans engagement, VAR and train the next generation of athletics automatically. He is also a Co-founder of European sport events based in Barcelona, owner and distributor of sport brands, doing international tournaments for different sports all over the world. Dror was a professional basketball player and basketball coach in national league Israel, national youth teams Israel for 20 years.

  • Stefan Đukić

    Red Star Esports team member

    Stefan Đukićgraduated at the John Naisbitt University, International Economics and Finance. Currently he is working in the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency and his hobby is gaming. He plays Heartstone at a professional level for the Red Star Esports team. As a player, he succeeded on several different levels, on the regional as well as on the national level. In addition, he had experience in hosting radio shows, participating in pannel discussions regarding Esports as well as in organising tournaments in Heartstone (Jaffa Heartstone masters) and as a caster for tournaments in League of Legends.

  • Adi Bichman

    Former Olympian Athlete, Director of Sport Studies, Ono Academic College

    Adi Bichman was the Israeli national record-holder in the 800-meter freestyle for more than 10 years. During the last 3 years Bichman is the Director of Sport Studies and a lecture of sport management in Ono Academic College which is the largest college in Israel and the most growing academic sport department nationwide. Her academic experience includes a high distinction honor in Executive Master for sport organization management (MEMOS). B.A. in Psychology and Sport Management, Rice University USA, B.Sc. in computer science from the Israeli's Tel-Aviv Yafo Academic College and a Master in Women and Gender Studies from Tel-Aviv University, Israel.

  • H. E. Alona Fisher-Kamm

    Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Serbia and non-resident Ambassador to Montenegro

    Dr. Alona Fisher-Kamm is a career diplomat with more than 25 years of experience in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem. She was in charge of Training Bureau at the Ministry in Jerusalem preparing young Israeli diplomats for their future missions abroad. She was also a Senior Fellow at the Richard and Rhoda Goldman Fund in the Hartog School at the Tel Aviv University conducting a research on innovation in the Public Sector. Prior to that, Mrs. Fisher-Kamm was a fellow at the Forum for Liberal Nationalism in the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem. Dr. Fisher-Kamm has a PhD. in politic

  • Nebojša Radović

    Sports journalist

    Nebojša Radović is a journalist with 20+ years of experience in the sports' departments working as a journalist, reporter, editor, host and commentator. As the Media and Communications manager for the Canoe Federation of Serbia he was involved in the organizations of World Cup and European Championships. In the long-term cooperation with various national sports organizations, Nebojša has worked in the event management of Davis and Fed Cups, European Indoor Championships in athletics, as well as both European and World Championships in handball. He holds the PhD title from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Philology.

  • Nenad Marković

    Serbian Esports Association

    Nenad Marković is a member of Serbian gaming scene since 1999 as a gamer. In 2014 he was invited to join Serbian Esports Association and he works as a team manager where he took charge of selecting, managing and coaching the national team. He was part of team that won the world championship in Seoul south Korea in 2015 which is recognized as a great success nowadays also.

  • Siniša Božović

    Editor in Chief, TV Arena

    Siniša Božović was born in 1965 at Podgorica. He has been working in sports journalism since 1990. He used to work for the newspaper Sport, and in 1993 he became editor at TV Studio B. As the founder of "SBS Media" production, since 2001, he created a football magazine "3-5-2" and other sports documentary forms and promo materials. From 2014 he is the Editor in Chief of TV Arena Sport.

  • Darko Habus

    founder of Fast Fit

    Darko Habus is a former professional basketball player, today a master manager in sports. After his sports career, he started a start up business in the field of fitness and recreation - Fast Fit recreation studio, that operates at two locations in Belgrade, with a tendency of growth in the upcoming period. He is also afounder of Belgrade Running Tour, that offers tourists a chance to visit guests to the most important parts of Blegrade by running.

    He is also the main organizer of the Relay Race within the Belgrade Marathon.

    Triathlon

    Vida Medić Medić studied and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade at the Department of Painting. After finishing the studies, she turned into sports - triathlon and acquired a lot of experience in the field of sports science, nutrition ... She has won gold medal at the Balkan championship and bronze at the World Multisport Championship.

  • Miodrag Miško Ražnatović

    Sports manager, founder of the BeoBasket agency

    Miodrag Miško Ražnatović was born on September 16th, 1966 in Kruševac. In 1988 he has graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade while being professional basketball player. Four years later he opened his law office. During a lawyer's career, a sudden opportunity to combine the profession and the love for basketball led him to the establishment of the agency "BeoBasket" in 1995. Until 2004, he actively played basketball and today he is one of the most respected basketball agents in Europe whose clients are some of the most famous players such as Nikola Jokić, Vassilis Spanoulis, Boban Marjanović and many other stars of European and NBA basketball.

  • Dejan Savić

    Water polo coach and former player

    Dejan Savić is a Serbian professional water polo coach and former player. During his playing career, he was part of two Olympic bronze medal squads and one Olympic silver medal squad. Under Savić's leadership, the national team won the 2016 Olympic Games, the 2015 World Championship, three European Championships, and five World League titles.

  • Dejan Tomašević

    General Secretary of Basketball Association of Serbia and former player

    Dejan Tomašević Dejan Tomašević is a Serbian professional basketball executive and former player. He currently serves as the general secretary of the Basketball Federation of Serbia. In March 2019, the Federation put forward a nomination of Tomašević for the president of the FIBA Europe.

Colosseum Bootcamp


The Colosseum Bootcamp has been designed for sport tech start-ups with the aim of scaling up their innovative business ideas. It provides selected teams with knowledge, skills and connections. Through workshops, one-to-one sessions, mentorship and access to funding, start-ups will have the opportunity to learn from and be connected to sports tech experts and industry leaders. The teams will ultimately compete at the Demo Day for a sports tech roadshow to Israel.
